Challenge
One of our Website Hosting clients came to us because they noticed one of their competitors was showing up before them in search results for the services they were hoping to sell out. Having attempted to run ad campaigns on their own, but not seeing the results they wanted, we suggested SEO services. As this company only had Top 3 rankings for their brand (company name) along with Top 50 rankings for some of their services, we took a sitewide approach to this.
Solution
In addition to completing the necessary technical updates on their site, we completed keyword research to find the most applicable search terms for the services they were focused on marketing. We began rewriting their pages' content with a focus on the high-volume search words that applied to their services. This was constantly monitored, with added content adjustments as needed. We also added Listing Management to increase their authority efforts.
Result
Within 3 months of completing content updates, their services were either in the Top 10 or climbing into it. In fact, we were able to have them directly compete with a general industry term that the known competition held at #1 - and they are #1 instead. As they highlighted an upcoming seasonal service they wanted to fill (which was their ad focus the previous year), we focused more effort on raising that page's rankings. The end result was they sold out before the season even began.

A growing company focused on niche business services was having trouble connecting with new leads outside of networking and word-of-mouth. As we began optimizing their website as part of ongoing digital marketing efforts, we quickly noticed that there was either a very low or non-existent search volume for their services. With further research, it was discovered that while many companies needed their services, prospects didn't know what they were called and how to search for them.
Solution
Upon revealing the data behind the targeted keywords of their website, we proposed a two-fold approach. Having a corporate look and feel that didn't allow major changes, we optimized their website content to rank for their service-specific keywords while embarking on additional content authoring efforts (blogging). By honing in on client pain points and Topic Research Questions & Headlines, we created unique opportunities to get prospective clients onto their website.
Result
When we first began, they had less than 5 rankings province-wide; 2 of which were their company name. At the end of the first year of adding monthly blog articles, they had more than 20 rankings with over 80% of them being keyphrases from blog posts. Month after month, blog post content brings them new rankings - half of which come in within the Top 20. While fluctuations are ongoing, they've continued on this path after experiencing an increase in traffic and conversations about posted content.
